Technique: Hand drawn and inked, then brought into photoshop for cleaning up and color.
My band is breaking up after being together since 2006. It is a bummer to me, but excited to start a new chapter of life. Here is the flyer I drew up for the show. I haven’t been doing much color lately, so I decided I would color this one. I love how it turned out.
Mobb Deep is by far my favorite hip hop group, and there is that song Cold World has where they reference Mobb Deep’s “Survival of the Fittest.” The line is “There’s a war going on outside no man is safe from.” I wanted to use that line for the concept for this flyer. I am not usually politically fueled, but lately it seems like there is unrest between the police and the public, and so that is the war going on outside I wanted to portray.

For my artwork? I do the vast majority of my projects with a pen and a piece of paper, then when I am done drawing the illustrations by hand, I bring them into my computer to do clean up work in Photoshop.

Really upset that my band had to drop off this tour. Losing members is always a really difficult thing, but we are still working on our new LP, and the material is coming out better than I expected. On another note, this tour is still happening without us, and all the bands have new material out that is undeniably incredible. Be sure to hit up one of these gigs.

Made this design for the back of a windbreaker. Be sure to check out Hardside’s upcoming LP when it drops on 6131 Records later this year. I got a chance to hear a track, and it’s really good. Made a lot of progress since their 7” dropped a while back.

Client: FocusedxMinds, Out Of Time, Another Mistake
Technique: Hand drawn and inked, then brought into photoshop for cleaning up.
FocusedxMinds approached me about doing this cover a few months ago. The cover features every member of the three bands on the split bugging out at a FocusedxMinds show. This piece was challenging because I had to try my best to make the people look like themselves, and I only personally know a handful of the members in these bands. Really happy with how this came out though. I did the layout as well for the release. Be sure to check it out as soon as it drops on 6131 Records later this year.
